Located on peaceful Great Diamond Island in Portland, it is just a 15 minute water taxi or a 30 minute ferry ride away from the mainland and the Old Port restaurants and shops. It's an easy walk, but if you prefer to ride, the HOA provides transportation to the Casco Bay Lines Ferry for all members. Automobiles are not allowed on the island which adds to the serenity and the peaceful vibe here. Although the island is perfect for biking and is very walkable, many residents own a golf cart to get around.
