Country Roads Rocks the Liberty Festival
One of Maine’s top cover bands brings its modern-country magic to Lewiston’s annual Liberty Festival. Naples Causeway Independence Day Festivities
One of southern Maine’s great “unkept secrets,” the fireworks and other celebrations on the causeway in Naples, Maine, are a sure-fire way to celebrate the Fourth of July with a … um … bang. The quaint little town on Long Lake in Cumberland County offers a plethora of festivities, ranging from a traditional pancake breakfast … to kids’ games … to a crafts fair … to a parade … to live entertainment. The main attraction—the Naples Fourth of July fireworks—fire up at dusk and are visible from land, boat, or restaurants along the gorgeous Long Lake waterfront.

Bustling with hip restaurants, cool live music venues, and a plethora of great seaside shops in the Old Port section, Portland is always an amazing place to visit—especially on the Fourth of July. Held every year for decades on the Eastern Promenade, this years’ classic American fireworks display is set to blast off at 9:15 p.m. The fireworks can be viewed from the gently sloping banks of the Eastern Promenade, and also from numerous other locations, including East End Beach, Fort Allen Park, Amethyst Park, Baxter Boulevard, Payson Park, Martin’s Point on Veranda Street, and Bug Light in South Portland.
